Kohl's Black Friday Announcement
Kohl's has just announced that their online Black Friday sale will go live at 12:01am (minute past midnight) on Wednesday, November 21: two full days before the in-store sales are stated to begin! (For in-store shoppers, Kohl's will, again, be opening their doors at midnight this Black Friday).
In previous years, online Black Friday sales have started as early as Wednesday night (sans Amazon's week-long sale), but first thing Wednesday morning is something we've never seen before.
Assuming this isn't some sort of typo (and they really mean 12:01am Thanksgiving Day), it will be very interesting to see how this plays out given that Wednesday is not a holiday. Kohl's is based in the Central time-zone, which means the sale won't go live until 1:01am for those on the East Coast. Will shoppers be able and/or willing to stay up well into the night if they have a job they have to be at in a couple hours?
